26/35KV Cold Shrinkable Power Cable Accessories
26/35KV Cold Shrinkable Power Cable Accessories are silicone rubber termination and joint kits for 26/35kV HV distribution cable. The parts ship pre-expanded on removable cores and install with no heating: position, pull the core, and the sleeve contracts onto the prepared cable. Service range is -50℃~+200℃ with a multi-layer wall, built to IEEE 386, in 3-core termination and joint configurations. The specification is below; send the cable schedule and we return the kit list.

What it is and how it works
The kit bodies are molded silicone rubber, factory-expanded onto spiral cores. Withdrawing the core releases the stored elasticity of the cross-linked silicone, which collapses the wall onto the cable at constant radial pressure: the reason these kits hold without slipping on HV joints that see load cycling. The multi-layer construction carries the stress-grading and insulation functions in one elastic body, and the silicone's UV and ozone resistance supports outdoor as well as indoor installations. Pre-expanded silicone relaxes over time, so the kits carry a defined shelf life; rotate stock by lot date.

Primary applications: HV cable cold-shrink termination.
How to select the right size
For 26/35kV kits the inputs are strict:
- System voltage class. Confirm 26/35kV; these kits are not interchangeable with 8.7/15kV or 12/20kV designs.
- Conductor cross-section and core count. Each kit covers a stated window; aluminium and copper conductors of the same size can differ in insulation OD.
- Indoor / outdoor. Outdoor terminations need the long-creepage shed design for pollution level.
- Termination or joint. Order by work type : kit contents differ.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a heat gun or open flame to install it?
No. 26/35KV Cold Shrinkable Power Cable Accessories is a cold-shrink assembly: it ships pre-stretched on a removable plastic core, and you simply pull the core out by hand. The silicone rubber (Silicone Rubber) shrinks and grips under its own memory: no heat gun, torch or power source. That is why it is the safer choice inside switchgear, manholes, confined spaces, refineries and mining where an open flame is banned.
What temperature and environment can it handle?
The body is Silicone Rubber, rated -50℃~+200℃. It stays flexible through thermal cycling and resists UV, ozone and weathering, so it is used for both indoor termination/joint sets and outdoor riser applications. For sustained heat above the rated ceiling, tell us: we steer you to a higher-grade material.
Will it stay put under vibration and load swings?
Yes. Cold shrink applies constant radial pressure along the whole length, so it will not slip, relax or rotate the way a taped joint can. That is the main reason utilities specify it for cable terminations and joints that must survive decades of load cycling.
What voltage class is it built for?
This kit is built for 26/35KV systems (3-core cold-shrink termination + joint; 10-year warranty). Confirm your conductor cross-section and core count (single/3-core) when ordering so we ship the right body and stress-control components.
What certifications support a tender or utility approval?
Standard compliance is IEEE 386. Certificates are issued per batch; tell us the target market (EU / US / Asia / utility spec) and we align the documentation to your filing.
What is in the kit and how long does installation take?
A full set covers termination and joint (indoor/outdoor as applicable). Because there is no heating step, a trained fitter can close a joint in minutes with basic hand tools: faster and more repeatable than heat-shrink or taping, with less chance of a cold spot or carbon-contaminated surface.
