Flame Retardant & Halogen-Free Tubing for Rail

Halogen-free flame-retardant heat-shrink tubing in a rail transit cabin, producing low smoke and no toxic halogen on fire

In enclosed or passenger spaces, a fire must not spread and must not give off toxic halogen smoke. That is what halogen-free, flame-retardant tubing is for.

What halogen-free means

Halogen-free polyolefin (DRS) and flame-retardant halogen-free (2:1) carry no chlorine/bromine, so they emit low smoke and no halogen acid on burning.

Where it is required

Rail rolling stock, transit, ships and crowded electrical cabinets. Spec it wherever people or expensive equipment share the enclosure.

Standards

These grades are built to references including RoHS and TÜV PAHS; certificates are supplied per batch. See the materials under products by material and ratings under products by performance.
